BMV Registration Services Available At Old National Bank Banking Centers

Pilot program expands Customer Choices for BMV services

EVANSVILLE - Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) customers can now renew vehicle registrations at five Old National Bank branches as part of a pilot program launched today. BMV Commissioner Ron Stiver and Old National Bank CEO and President Bob Jones officially announced the new partnership at the Old National Bank branch located on Burkhardt Road in Evansville.

"A key component of our efforts to improve customer service in recent years has been creating new, convenient ways for Hoosiers to conduct their BMV business without the need to visit a license branch," said Stiver. "Today we are proud to partner with Indiana-based Old National Bank to take yet another step forward in these efforts."

"Old National has a 174-year history of supporting Indiana communities. This innovative approach provides a convenient alternative for local community members needing to renew their registration," commented Jones. "We are proud to once again partner with the BMV to fulfill the needs and interest of our communities."

A separate self-service BMV computer terminal has been installed in the lobby of each bank location where customers can renew their registrations. When the transaction is complete, the customer will receive the registration documents from a bank teller. If the customer is due for a new license plate, it will be mailed to the customer's home within 7-12 days.

The five Old National branches in the pilot program include:

Along with the BMV services that are now offered at 158 auto dealerships, five AAA Hoosier Motor Club offices, and the BMV2You mobile unit that visits different Indiana communities, the BMV Customer Choices program now includes enhanced online service through myBMV.IN.govpersonal accounts. This year over 822,000 registrations have been renewed online, saving Hoosiers over $4.1 million through a $5 online discount. The auto dealerships have conducted nearly 60,000 transactions, AAA offices have completed approximately 7,000 transactions, and the mobile unit has conducted almost 5,200 transactions.
