Wellness Councils of America
WELCOA was founded in 1987 as a national non-profit membership organization dedicated to promoting healthier life styles for all Americans, especially through health promotion initiatives at the worksite. Specifically, WELCOA focuses on building Well Workplaces—organizations that are dedicated to the health of their employees. Ultimately these programs help employees make better lifestyle choices, and positively impact the organization's bottom line. In addition to helping organizations build structurally sound wellness programs, WELCOA serves as a national clearinghouse and information center on worksite wellness.
Wellness Council of Indiana The Wellness Council of Indiana is a 501C (3) organization of Indiana Business leaders dedicated to promoting healthier lifestyles for all citizens of Indiana through health promotion activities at the worksite. Organized in 1988, we bring together Indiana employers interested in combating the ever increasing cost of health care benefits by helping their employees, their families and their communities achieve and maintain a state of good health.
Employee Wellness USA
Employee Wellness USA specializes in facilitating on-site data collection for corporate health management programs. This knowledge empowers corporations to identify opportunities to promote appropriate health and disease management programs, which in turn help to increase employee productivity and control health benefits costs. In addition, the website provides you with online libraries filled with information about health and wellness, health management and health risk management.
New York State Department of Health
Enter “worksite wellness” into the search box at the top left of the page and you will be directed a site where you can learn more about worksite wellness. This site provides information such as return on investment, the cost of chronic disease, starting a wellness program and much more.
Prevent Disease
A website “aiming towards better health”, enter “worksite wellness” into the search bar on the left-hand side of the page. You will then be directed to the portion of their site dedicated exclusively to worksite wellness. Here they provide you with various statistical pieces as well as a link to search for other documents related to working well.
State of Wisconsin
By searching “worksite wellness” in the upper left hand corner’s search bar, you will be directed to a page that promotes a Worksite Wellness Resource Kit. A PDF version of the kit is available to print. This resource kit will take you through the various stages of implementing a worksite wellness program and give you tips on how to get people involved.
Eat Smart, Move More North Carolina
North Carolina has started a program to get citizens of the state to “eat smart and move more”. Additionally, they are encouraging worksite wellness programs and have put together a toolkit to assist those interested. The toolkit consists of booklets on various topics, with multiple appendixes to provide as much information as possible.
