Introduction:

Funds are available from the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for Financial Assistance to Create New Immunization Partnerships to Address Unmet Needs.

Description:

This announcement is only for non-research activities supported by CDC.  If research is proposed, the application will not be reviewed.  For the definition of research, please see the CDC Web site at the following Internet address:  http://www.cdc.gov/od/science/regs/hrpp/researchDefinition.htm.

Activities:

Eligible applicants may apply for one or more of three unique funding categories:

  1. Technical Assistance and Training for Immunization Coalitions and Health Departments.
  2. Develop and Implement Materials and Programs to Educate Nurses about Immunization Issues
  3. Develop Vaccine Safety Communication Materials and Curriculum for Medical Residents.

Applicants who apply for more than one category should submit separate applications for each. There are common and unique elements for each of the funding categories and all applicants will be rated on both. Unique elements are noted as such throughout this document.
