Refunds delayed temporarily due to new state system – set to launch in mid September.

To prepare for the launch of the state’s new financial-management system in the next few days, state refunds will be delayed temporarily. Processing of refunds should begin again on Sept. 16. Please be aware that it normally takes 10 to 14 business days to process a refund before it is mailed or directly deposited into a taxpayer’s bank account. Thank you for your patience and understanding as the state works to implement this new system.

The Department of Revenue allows you to check the status of your refund online or by telephone.

Note: To check you refund in either system, you will need your Social Security number and the exact amount of your refund.
