What is an “ON THE ROAD” rally adventure with the Indiana State Parks?

Remember that Sunday drive, when you piled into the car, and dad drove around while mom pointed out certain things of interest? You rode in the car with the windows rolled down, and you smelled the fresh air. You may have stopped off at a road-side fruit stand for a snack, or indulged in a root beer float or an ice cream at a corner drugstore.

Our adventure is based on these rides. Our goal is to introduce you to areas of Indiana that may be hidden or overlooked – via scenic back roads. We will work in partnership with our talented staff to create both an educational and entertaining route for your two day rally adventure with us.

Your planned routes, driven by you in your TEAM CAR, will have you on a slow-paced Indiana adventure. We will point you in the direction of some Indiana scenic wonders, and we just might have a nice surprise for you along the way.

Each TEAM CAR must have a driver and a navigator. The driver will maneuver the country lanes with its curves and scenic views, while the navigator will provide detailed information to the driver to keep them on the right path. Our ADVENTURE KIT will include a detailed route, as well as a challenge or two to complete while on your adventure.

If your team is feeling competitive, you should go for all the challenges you can. Each correctly completed challenge will be worth points – and points will be tallied at the end of the rally adventure for prizes.

If you team isn’t feeling competitive, well that is ok too! You will enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of Indiana – and you might have time for that root beer float!

Your Adventure will include:

  • Overnight lodging on both Sunday and Monday nights (if chosen).
  • Two full days of “On the road” rally adventure in the comfort of your own vehicle.
  • Dinners on both Sunday and Monday night.
  • Breakfast buffets on Monday and Tuesday morning.
  • Unique entertainment will be provided on both Sunday and Monday nights.
  • Tuesday night activities will include an awards dinner and ceremony with prizes for our top teams.
  • Participants wishing to stay an additional night (Tuesday night) will receive a 25% discount on their lodging.
  • Please dress weather-appropriate, as our adventures will happen RAIN or SHINE.
