Indiana Department of Natural Resources

State Parks & Reservoirs > How You Can Help > Campground Host Campground Host

The Indiana State Parks and Reservoirs’ volunteers and partners mission is to build widespread support of the division’s programs, facilities and resources (natural, cultural and human) by individuals, groups and the business community, and to foster philanthropic traditions through recognition of this support.

Most of Indiana's state parks and reservoirs offer opportunities for campground hosts. Hosts work a minimum of 20 hours per week in exchange for free camping for a specified period of time. The time period varies at sites, based on the number of applicants and on the amount and type of work required. For detailed information about hosting duties and site availability, contact the property where you'd like to serve as a host.
